When is waterskiing allowed on Lake Thun?
On Lake Thun, sports behind a boat are allowed in daylight and clear visibility, no earlier than 8 and no later than 21. This includes wakeboarding, wakesurfing and towable inflatables.
Before starting
- The shore zone up to 300 m is off limits outside authorised launch corridors and specifically designated sports areas.
- A second suitable person on board must watch the rider and rope. Keep at least 50 m from other boats and swimmers.
- Tow at most two people or devices at once. Everyone must fit on board within the boat’s permitted passenger limit. No elastic rope or unused rope trailing in the water.
